Yes We Can Youth Clinics is one of the most successful clinics for young people aged 13 to 25 with mental health issues, addictions, and behavioural problems.
To continue our success and realise our growth ambitions, we are looking for a Psychologist / Therapist for our clinic in Hilvarenbeek.
As a therapist, you are responsible for the treatment process of four fellows (how we refer to our young people) during their time at Yes We Can Youth Clinics. Together with an incredible multidisciplinary team of colleagues—coaches, psychiatrists, therapists, and counsellors—you work intensively in an equal and collaborative way. Every day, you participate in the multidisciplinary meeting (MDO) to collectively determine the best treatment plan for the fellows.
In this exciting role, you conduct daily one-on-one sessions with fellows, where you can creatively utilize the extensive facilities on our beautiful campus. You are given the freedom to shape the treatment process according to your professional insights, breaking free from conventional frameworks when necessary and thinking outside the box. Everything you do is aimed at helping the fellows in the best possible way on their journey to recovery.
You also attend group sessions and community meetings, translating the content of these sessions into the emotional world of our fellows to help them reflect and grow.
Of course, there are administrative tasks as well. You document and report on the one-on-one sessions and any important findings related to the fellows' treatment, which you ultimately compile into a final report.
In short, as a therapist at Yes We Can Youth Clinics, you have a challenging and dynamic role where you can truly make a difference in the lives of young people.
You have an open mindset and a positive view on recovery-oriented care. You are excited to bring not only your knowledge but also your creativity into the treatment process for the fellows. Collaboration is key to you, and working together with other teams towards the same goal—everything for the fellows—gives you energy. You see every challenge as an opportunity to find solutions and focus on what is truly needed. You hold a master’s degree in Psychology or Orthopedagogy with a diagnostic qualification. Preferably, you have the necessary registrations according to the ZPM (Healthcare Performance Model), such as a BAPD (Basic Psychodiagnostics Registration) and a LOGO statement. An Skj registration is an advantage.
When all else fails, Yes We Can Youth Clinics provides a solution for many young adults, aged 13 to 25, struggling with mental health issues, addictions and behavioural problems. Every year, we treat more than 1.000 young people in our national and international clinics. Our treatment programme consists of a 10-week residential treatment programme, followed by a 10-week aftercare programme. We have proven to be successful: about 74% of our former fellows no longer need specialised care after completing Yes We Can Youth Clinics.
Since the start in 2011, unconditional warmth, safety and confrontation at the right time are pivotal. Together with other young people (called “fellows”) from all around the world, they will learn to recognise and acknowledge their problems, ask for help and speak out. In parallel with the child’s treatment, parents/carers will participate in an intensive family coaching- and counselling programme. During the treatment, over 500 highly specialised healthcare professionals work hard to help the fellows and their families turn hopelessness into happiness.
